SequoiaLodge-Jan13-DK-021

Sequoia Lodge has 14 rooms; you can reserve a single queen, single-king, or double-queen. Each one has a refrigerator, microwave, heating & air-conditioning, flat screen TV with DVR, and cable with HBO. In addition to those amenities, the single-kings and double-queens have plating and utensils, a toaster, and an in-room sink. We also have a double-queen with a great view, called the River Room.

People tend to ask whether each room has a private bathroom & shower. Yes–they all do.

We have complimentary Wi-Fi.

Sequoia Lodge is on the Kern River. There is a flight of stairs that will take you straight down to its banks. You can walk outside any room & within just a few minutes, begin fishing, kayaking, rafting, bird-watching, sunning, playing in the water, or hiking.

We do not allow pets. All of our rooms are non-smoking. You can smoke outside. You cannot light candles in your room. No exceptions.

Each of our four patios have propane grills that you’re free to use. We also have 2 charcoal grills towards the back of the property overlooking the river. Please ask us if you need any grilling utensils or equipment–we have lighters, spatulas, tongs & may have extra charcoal & lighter fluid.

The patios each have tables and seating for plenty.  In the summer, you can use the misting system to keep cool.

After you’ve caught a few fish, you can use the fish shed to clean ‘em up before you start grilling.

We are three miles from downtown Kernville. It’s a 3-minute drive to the award-winning Kern River Brewing Company. Kernville has a variety of restaurants & plenty of antique shops. There are some renown local river rafting and kayaking businesses. Whiskey Flat Days take place in February each year. Fly fishing & bird-watching take place year-round. James Store is just a couple miles away and features a quality meat counter. Kern River General Store is just across the street & makes a great breakfast burrito; they also sell tackle gear, which can be very convenient. McNally’s Fairview Lodge, famous for their 40 oz. Porterhouse steaks, is 12 miles up the road. Alta Sierra summit is a 30 minute drive. Sequoia National Forest & the Trail of 100 Giants are 1 hour, 15 minutes away.

The lodge is a very relaxing environment. Our guests are typically low-maintenance and very friendly. Kernville has the same character. We’d love to have you as our guest.
